سالمندان و حس سرزندگی آنها در محلات مسکونی و مسکن، بهعنوان تأمینکننده نیازهای متنوع انسانی و یکی از انسانیترین موضوعات معماری، زمینهساز سلامت، آرامش، پرورش و خودشکوفایی افراد هستند. مسکن بهواسطه ارتباط مستقیم و طولانیمدت با سالمندان، در پایان قرن بیستم و آغاز قرن بیستویکم، به یکی از اصلیترین مفاهیم مطرح در معماری و شهرسازی تبدیل شده است. این موضوع ساختار اصلی پژوهش حاضر را شکل داده است که به کاهش حس سرزندگی سالمندان در الگوی کالبدی بافت مسکونی محلات شهرهای معاصر ایران میپردازد. در این راستا، پژوهش حاضر تلاش کرده است به پرسش اصلی تحقیق، یعنی «چه ارتباطی میان ساختار کالبدی بافتهای مسکونی و حس سرزندگی سالمندان وجود دارد؟» پاسخ دهد. این پژوهش از نظر هدف، کاربردی و از نظر ماهیت و شیوه گردآوری دادهها، توصیفی-تحلیلی بوده و با ترکیبی از روشهای کمی و کیفی انجام شده است. برای تحلیل روابط بین متغیرها، از رویکرد تحقیق همبستگی با استفاده از نرمافزار SPSS بهره گرفته شده است. دادهها به دو روش کتابخانهای و میدانی (پرسشنامه) جمعآوری شدهاند. پرسشنامهها میان ۲۹۰ سالمند در دو منطقه مسکونی شهر قم توزیع شده است؛ یکی از این مناطق دارای بافت ویلایی و دیگری دارای بافت آپارتمانی میباشد. همچنین، در انتخاب نمونهها تلاش شده است تا حد امکان متغیرهای مستقل ساختار کالبدی کنترل شوند و دیگر عوامل تأثیرگذار بر حس سرزندگی سالمندان، مانند وضعیت جسمانی، روانی و مدت سکونت آنها در محله، نیز در نظر گرفته شده است. بر اساس نتایج ضریب همبستگی، میزان همبستگی بین ساختار کالبدی و حس سرزندگی سالمندان در بافت ویلایی ۰.۷۲۸ بهدست آمده است که نشاندهندهی رابطهای مستقیم و معنادار میان حس سرزندگی سالمندان و کالبد مسکونی است. از سوی دیگر، ضریب همبستگی در بافت آپارتمانی ۰.۴۳۲- محاسبه شده است که بیانگر رابطهای معکوس و غیرمستقیم بین حس سرزندگی سالمندان و زندگی در آپارتمان میباشد. همچنین، یافتههای پژوهش نشان میدهد که میزان حس سرزندگی سالمندان در محلهی انسجام ۱.۹۳ و در محلهی دانیال نبی ۲.۰۲ است که بیانگر تفاوت معنادار میان حس سرزندگی سالمندان در این دو محله میباشد. بر این مبنا میان ساختار کالبدی بافت مسکونی در دو منطقه مورد مطالعه و حس سرزندگی سالمندان رابطه معناداری وجود دارد.
