What and how to design a house in Islamic teachings is the source and source of extensive and continuous discussions that require meditation on the sources that provide these teachings.The Holy Qur'an and the traditions of the infallible imams (peace be upon them) are among the original and fundamental sources in explaining Islam's approach to the characteristics of a desirable home.This research has an Islamic approach and is based on the sources of reason and narration with the method of logical reasoning and interpretation-analysis.In this regard, the architectural design of 7 examples of contemporary houses in Iran that have won the architect's award in different years has been examined, and the amount of attention designers pay to the features of a desirable house from the perspective of Islam will be evaluated.The principles arising from the foundations of this research and visible in the structure of the ideal house, which will be reflected in the case examples, are as follows: 1- The principle of creating peace, tranquility and security in the home compared to other urban spaces, 2- The principle of preserving homogeneityappearance and social justice and the absence of class differences, 3- the principle of the need to pay attention to the rights of the neighbors, 4- the principle of responding to the needs of the residents according to social and cultural characteristics with respect for justice, 5- the principle of privacy and view control in house design,6- The principle of paying attention to the Iranian-Islamic identity. 7- The principle of prioritizing and valuing spaces, 8- The principle of using natural gifts compatible with the climate and connecting with nature.In the end, the obtained results show that, wherever in the content and body of attention to the Islamic teachings according to the requirements of time and place, a work with an original, efficient and lasting identity has been left behind.
